dendrobium orchid watering

How often should I water my Dendrobium Orchid?
Hi,
I bought a dendrobium orchid that looks like this:

It is planted in a big chunk of coconut husk that seems to drain very well. My question is, how often should I be watering it, given that it is planted in coconut husk and also that it is currently in flower?
I live in Toronto, we are currently experiencing Spring weather conditions. I keep the orchid outdoors on my balcony where it receives good light.
Thanks
A good soaking about once a week should be fine. That's a bigibbum hybrid, an Australian orchid that likes it warm and fairly dry. These guys like to dry out just a little between watering's. That coconut husk can absorb quite a bit so be carefull. Move it indoors in the winter and cut back the watering a bit to promote new growth, they bloom off those new canes.
