You might not be watering enough. Most people underwater their orchids because they are afraid of over watering. Are you misting? Misting usually causes more problems then benefits especially with Phalaenopsis. This is most likely the species that you have and if water gets down in the crown (from misting or watering from above) it will cause crown rot which is almost always fatal. Soaking your plants in the sink is the best way to water. Fill your sink to the level of the pot with water and fertilizer. Allow to soak for 15 minutes once a week. You will want to water less in the winter, like every 2 to 3 weeks, if your plant has pseudobulbs. Water regularly year round for Phalaenopsis.
